Priorities That Put People First

I am running for State Senate in Legislative District 25 because I believe our community deserves leadership rooted in listening, compassion, and action. Too often, decisions are made without the voices of everyday people being heard. I’m committed to changing that.

What I Stand For:

Water Security & Protecting Water Resources: Invest in reliable water infrastructure for families, farmers, and future generations. I support policies that ensure sustainable water access for Yuma & Maricopa County farmers, including investments in water-saving technologies and fair allocation from the Colorado River.
Making the Cost of Living Affordable for Arizona Families: Push for fair pricing and stronger regulation to keep essential goods—like food, housing, healthcare, and utilities—affordable. No family should have to choose between groceries, rent, or medicine while corporations post record profits.
Building a Fair, Local, and Sustainable Economy:
Support small businesses and local entrepreneurs, invest in clean industries that create good-paying jobs, and ensure fair wages so working families can thrive—not just get by. Focus on long-term economic growth that strengthens Arizona communities rather than corporate profits.
Supporting Agriculture and Farmworkers: I am committed to policies that protect the livelihood of our farmers and farmworkers, promote sustainable agriculture, and ensure fair wages and safe working conditions for those who feed our communities.
Immigration & Border Policy: Ensure humane border security, end family separation, and support pathways to citizenship.
Health Care & Public Health: Expand access to care, maternal and mental health services, telehealth, and pandemic preparedness. I fight for affordable healthcare for all, including mental health and substance use services, so no one has to choose between care and their livelihood.
Investing in Education: I stand with teachers, administrators, and school staff by ensuring adequate funding, safe learning environments, competitive compensation, free student lunches, comprehensive sex education, and the tools they need to empower the next generation.
Preserving Native American Culture and Rights: Support efforts that honor tribal sovereignty, protect sacred lands and languages, and uphold treaties and self-determination. Preserving Native culture strengthens Arizona’s shared heritage and ensures that Indigenous voices continue to guide the stewardship of their communities and traditions.
Protecting Privacy and Truth Online: Outlaw the sale of personal information and hold social media platforms accountable for removing disinformation and false content that harms public trust, safety, and democracy.
Mandating Mental Health Education: I support integrating mental health education into schools, teaching students essential skills for coping, managing emotions, communicating effectively, and building resilience—giving young people the tools they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Expanding School Mental Health Services: I support increasing the number of school counselors and providing greater access to mental health evaluations and treatment in schools, ensuring that every student has the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Protecting Historical Truth and Access to Knowledge: I believe in safeguarding the teaching of factual U.S. and world history and ensuring our students have access to diverse books and resources. Politicians should not be in the business of banning books or censoring education. Our communities deserve classrooms that encourage critical thinking, preserve historical accuracy, and prepare the next generation with the full truth of our shared past.
Voting Rights & Election Integrity: Protect fair elections, end gerrymandering, expand early and mail-in voting, and fight misinformation.
Equal Representation in Leadership: Since women make up roughly 51% of the U.S. population, require businesses, corporations, and all levels of government to ensure that at least 50% of leadership positions are held by women—promoting true gender equity, fairness, and diverse perspectives in decision-making.
Racial & Social Equity: Confront systemic racism, promote justice reform, and protect equality in education, housing, and healthcare.
Women’s Rights & Bodily Autonomy: Protect reproductive rights, ensure pay equity, fund women’s health research, provide free period products, and advance workplace protections.
Building Unity: Focus on policies and initiatives that bring communities together, promote collaboration, and support all residents in contributing to a stronger, more connected society.
Environmental Protection & Climate Action: Invest in clean energy, protect public lands, and create green jobs.
Ensure Clean and Safe Water: Protect public health by studying and eliminating harmful contaminants from our water supply, including PFAS, arsenic, and pharmaceutical residues, while enforcing stricter water quality standards nationwide.
Promote Clean Air and Green Spaces: Plant more trees, expand urban greenery, and enforce policies to reduce air pollution, ensuring healthier communities and a more sustainable environment.
Improve Food Quality and Transparency: Match the highest international food standards, including European benchmarks, by enforcing stricter regulations on fast food, eliminating harmful additives, requiring accurate labeling, and ensuring healthier options for all consumers.
Protecting Integrity in Public Health: Prohibit government manipulation or suppression of health data, and require that leaders overseeing public health and related government sectors be approved by an independent panel of top experts in the field—ensuring decisions are guided by science, not politics.
Accountability for Public Officials: Prohibit elected officials from knowingly spreading false or misleading information on news outlets, social media, or any public forum. Establish clear grounds for removal from office for repeated violations—ensuring honesty, integrity, and public trust in government.
Truth and Accountability in Public Debates: Require debate hosts to enforce rules equally by muting microphones when a candidate’s speaking time is up and removing participants who refuse to follow the rules. Mandate real-time fact-checking be displayed on screen—ensuring voters receive honest, accurate information free from political manipulation.
Supporting Successful Reintegration: I advocate for programs that help formerly incarcerated individuals rebuild their lives, including access to education and job training, stable housing, mental health and substance use treatment, mentorship, restorative justice opportunities, and strong family and community support—because when people are given the tools and resources to succeed, our communities are safer and stronger.
Ending Private Prisons: I support eliminating for-profit prisons, ensuring that incarceration is not driven by profit but by justice, rehabilitation, and public safety. Taxpayer dollars should fund programs that reduce recidivism and support community well-being—not corporate profits.
Student Loan & Homeownership Support: Forgive student debt, make higher education affordable, and help young people and families buy their first homes.
Corporate & Workplace Equity: Limit corporate pay disparities, reduce administrative burdens on health professionals, and protect fair wages and working conditions.
Health Insurance Reform: Ensure insurers cannot control patient care, guarantee timely and full payments to providers, and prevent retroactive fee reductions.
Fair Taxation: Increase taxes on the wealthy and corporations, reduce the burden on low- and middle-income families.
Safety & Unity: Protect peaceful protest, invest in community safety, reduce political polarization, and regulate AI responsibly to serve workers and the public good.
Labor Rights and Unions: I stand with workers and their right to organize, collectively bargain, and secure fair wages, benefits, and safe working conditions. Strong unions are essential to building a thriving, equitable economy.
Raising the Minimum Wage: I support increasing the minimum wage to keep pace with inflation and worker productivity, ensuring that every Arizonan earns a fair wage that meets the cost of living and reflects their contributions to our economy.
Backing Healthcare Heroes: I support nurses, medical technicians, and healthcare workers by advocating for better staffing, competitive pay, mental health resources, and access to professional development so they can continue providing top-quality care.
Supporting Veterans, Military Personnel, and Their Families: I am committed to ensuring that our veterans, active-duty service members, and their families receive the care, resources, and support they deserve—including healthcare, mental health services, job training, and community programs.
Supporting First Responders: I believe in providing our police, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders with the resources, training, and mental health support they need to keep our communities safe while ensuring they are valued and supported in their vital roles.
Protecting Workers in Retail and Service Industries: I believe in fair wages, safe workplaces, and career advancement opportunities for employees in retail, hospitality, and service sectors, recognizing the essential role they play in our economy.
Supporting Skilled Trades and Construction Workers: I champion job training programs, fair pay, workplace safety, and infrastructure investments that create opportunities for our tradespeople and strengthen our communities.
Supporting People with Disabilities and Their Families: I am committed to protecting and strengthening programs through the Department of Developmental Disabilities, ensuring individuals with disabilities and their families have access to the care, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
Expanding Autism Awareness and Support: I support increasing public awareness, understanding, and access to evidence-based services and treatment for individuals on the autism spectrum, ensuring they and their families receive the resources, education, and care they need to thrive.
LGBTQIA+ Protections: Strengthen anti-discrimination policies in schools, workplaces, healthcare, and housing.
Supporting Climate-Resilient Agriculture: I promote funding and resources for farmers to adopt innovative practices and technologies that help crops thrive amid rising temperatures and unpredictable weather.
Fully Fund and Process All Rape Kits: Rape kits collect crucial DNA evidence after sexual assault, yet thousands remain untested nationwide and hundreds in Arizona. I’ll fight to ensure every kit is tested promptly, survivors get justice, and law enforcement has the tools to hold offenders accountable.
Equal Pay for Equal Work: Close the gender wage gap and ensure women receive equal pay for equal work in every profession.
Paid Family and Medical Leave: I champion paid leave for parents and caregivers so women don’t have to choose between their family’s needs and financial stability.
Affordable Childcare: Expand access to quality, affordable childcare so working parents—especially mothers—can participate fully in the workforce.
Promote Healthy and Positive Masculinity:
Encourage values like honesty, empathy, kindness, compassion, education, and respectful dialogue. Support men in embracing strength through understanding, responsibility, and healthy relationships, not through aggression or harm.
Educate the Next Generation in Democratic Values: Support programs, camps, and activities that teach children about civic engagement, critical thinking, respect for others, and the principles of democracy—preparing them to be informed and active citizens.
Protect Access to IVF and Family Planning:
Every family deserves the freedom to decide when and how to grow. I’ll fight to protect access to in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and other reproductive healthcare options, ensuring Arizona families can pursue their dreams of parenthood without political interference.
Promote Co-Governance and Collaboration:
I believe the best solutions come when government works with communities, not just for them. I’ll prioritize co-governance — partnering with local leaders and residents to make decisions that reflect the needs and values of everyone.
